Alex was my best friend. we were students in the same high school in Budapest. we both were working in the field of laboratory and medical equipment in Toronto and in Budapest. We and our families met each other several times in Toronto, in the U.S.A., in Budapest and at several parts in Hungary. I am very sorry. Give you God peace.

Alex was a unique and memorable individual. I had the privilege of working with him for many years. His knowledge of laboratory medicine was possibly only exceeded by his knowledge of bridge.
He had an incredible history of overcoming hardship while always maintaining a sense of humour.
He will be missed

I met Alex in 1973 when I joined MDS. We were different in terms of personality and management style but we formed a mutual admiration society because of our common love of the classics and our appreciation for authenticity over “political correctness”. We used to meet for dinner each Christmas and exchange gifts of books usually about history, philosophy or religion. We stayed in touch long after Retirement and made it a point to meet for lunch at the Inn on the Twenty at least once a year until it was no longer feasible because of COVID constraints. Alex was truly an exceptional person as all of you who knew or were close to him know well. May Alex Rest In Peace and those close to him be at peace knowing he lived a long full life and earned eternal peace.
Carpe Diem!
