Obituary of Frank Baarda

BAARDA, Frank

On Friday, September 2, 2016, the Lord, in His infinite wisdom, called home Frank Baarda, of Vineland, after a tragic farm accident. Frank was in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Nelly Ellens and father of Rachel and Jonathan. Loved brother of Chester (Agnes), George (Katie), Cor (Ann), Eb Bokma (Dick), Dorothy Janssens (Ralph), Tina Vanderwier (Dave), Gerty, Ron (Heather), Dan (Valerie), and Dick (Sabatina). Dear brother-in-law to Jake Ellens (Ann) and Ron Ellens (Carol). Cherished uncle to 47 nephews and nieces. Preceded into glory by his parents George and Barbara, his sister Ann, and his sister-in-law Terry.

Frank's steadfast faith, ever-present sense of humour, and conviction of the power of the gospel was a blessing to his family and the members of his community. His family is thankful for all the support they have received in this difficult time.

The family will receive friends at Mountainview Christian Reformed Church, 290 Main Street East, Grimsby, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Thursday, September 8. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1 pm, Friday, September 9, also at Mountainview.
