Obituary of Lauretta Laura Rogalski

Laura Rogalski

December 6, 1944 – January 18, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Laura Rogalski announces her passing on January 18, at the age of 77.  Laura lived at The Heidehof Home since August, 2021 and had been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia.

She is survived by her brothers, Werner (Louise), Edgar (Jessie) and sister-in-law, Lorna. She was a special aunt to her six nieces and nephews, their spouses and families – Dave & Rhonda Gossen, (Kyle & Avery, Kara & Zac. Kelsey & Aureal); Gerry & Wendy Rogalski, (Matthew & Grace); Don & Toni Rogalski; Joe & Susan Rogalski, (Zoe Rae); Pete & Janet Abfal, (Brian & Andrew); Yvonne & Ted Bauman. As well her greats, Ethan, Layla, Elle and Bea.

She also leaves behind her special friends, Sheilah, Diane, Maggie, Helen, Trudy & Tina.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Annie Rogalski, her brothers, Herbert, Victor and Paul.

Laura was born in St. Catharines and grew up on a fruit farm near Beamsville.  Laura became a Registered Nurse, working many years in local hospitals.  She also went to Haiti in the mid 70's serving with Mennonite Central Committee at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital.

Laura enjoyed her retirement by travelling and visiting many countries around the world. 

A special thank you to the staff at Heidehof for their loving care and compassion shown to Laura.

Donations in memory of Laura can be made to Bethany Community Church or another organization of your choice. 

Due to Covid, a private family funeral will take place at the Tallman Funeral Homes on Saturday January 29, 2022 at 10:30am. The service will be live streamed on Tallman Funeral Homes Facebook Page at that time.
