Obituary of Jean Maxwell Peters

Peters, Jean Maxwell (1938 – 2022) -  Peacefully, and with her husband Pete Peters by her side, Jean Peters (nee Stewart) took the next step of her journey to be with the Lord on March 17, 2022.  Jean was a loving wife to Pete for almost 48 years.  They shared many laughs, and tears, but most of all, love.  So much love.  Jean was also a loving mother to two daughters, Deborah West and Denise Hiltz, both of whom predeceased Jean but who both gifted many loving grandchildren.  Jean was also a loving mother to her son Michael and his wife Monica who call Vancouver their home.

Jean was the daughter of Robert and Edna Stewart along with her brother Jim and her sister Sylvia.  They were all blessed with many fond memories.  Jean will be especially missed by Pete’s six brothers and two sisters and their families as well as many fond friends.

A special thank you to Pete’s sister Marg, family friends Jeanette and her husband Jonathon, who have provided so much love and support over the years, a true blessing.  Lastly, a big thank you to all the staff at Henley House who provided Jean with such care and attention, especially over the difficulties of the past couple of years.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 21 at 11:00am at Harbour Fellowship Church, 51 South Service Rd, St. Catharines.
