Carolyn, John and families...
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom.....she was such a woman of grace and poise....great sense of humour...woman of faith...a beautiful woman...inside and out
I had many a great laugh with her... and Mr Pierce, at the pharmacy.....what a pair!
Always enjoyed seeing them both....saddened by his loss a few years ago....and now Mrs Pierce....but they are together now
I will remember them both fondly

My condolences to the Pierce family with the loss of your mother and grandmother! She was a wonderful and kind lady and you will miss her in your family. I worked for your Mom and Dad for many years as their house cleaner and always had respect and love for both of them. May you find comfort and peace with the Lord as you grief her loss.

Jacquie, you were my Mom's dear close friend. I so remember all those dinner parties in our Woodruff Avenue home where you and Jim were always treasured guests! I always admired your beauty, style, grace, and kind manner. You always greeted us girls with a smile, whether with the bridge club group, at "the Island", or anywhere our paths would cross. Joy Chabot ("Mom", to Michele, Jeannine, Anne, Renee, and me), is very sad and is currently grieving the loss of her wonderful friend for so very many happy years! Even though she has been unable to visit , call, or write due to her own age related limitations, she recalls those happy memories of you and your family often. Just yesterday she was trying to think how she might arrange to be at your final farewell service. In her mind, you were too young to die. I know she is praying that you will rest in peace (or perhaps join the party) with Jim, Dad (Claude) and all those fun loving friends of yours who are now all into the next phase of life! Our sympathy to all your family. Claudette Young (nee Chabot)

Mrs. 'P' was like a second mother to me. I spent a great deal of time at the Pierce home on Glen Ridge Avenue since the age of 11 when Carolyn and I became best friends in grade 5. I remember great shopping trips 'over the river' and lots of sleep-overs. Mrs. P was very protective and not much got past her during our teen-age years. I had to 'cover' for Carolyn once or twice but I think she saw right through me! She was always a very beautiful, gracious lady and it was easy to look up to her. She made great chocolate cake! We had lots of good conversations over the years. She was a good listener and always had a genuine interest in what was going on in my life. I always admired her commitment to keeping herself in good shape which obviously served her well right to the end. She was devoted to her family, giving generously of her time and support when it was needed. IN turn, her family was devoted to her. She has given a little piece of herself to so many people and this will be her legacy. One of our last lovely visits together was at the cottage in Muskoka when I 'led her astray' with a glass or two of wine. She has left me with an abundance of good memories to revisit. Now she and Jim are together again. Just as she wanted. God bless!
