Obituary of Elfrieda Braun

Elfrieda Braun (nee Janzen) October 27, 1933 - April 9, 2022

With sadness we announce the passing of our Mom, Frieda, on April 9th at Heritage Place in Virgil. She passed peacefully in her sleep into the presence of her Lord and Saviour.

Frieda was born to Isbrand and Helena Janzen in Vineland and moved as ayoung girl with the family to a farm on Creek Road in Niagara on the Lake. Frieda married Vic Braun on February 14, 1953.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Vic, children Marlene Goertzen (Arnold), Sylvia Enns (Brian), Victor, grandchildren
Greg (Katie), Brad (Erin), Tim (Emily), Kari (Brent), Jeff, Nayla (Will), Ramy (Rosa), Atieh (Niall), Jamel (Teresa), and 13 great grandchildren. 

Frieda will be missed by her siblings Helen Doerksen (Abe), John Janzen (Hedy), Mary Marcoux (Jerome), Susan Pohorly (Frank), in-laws Rudy Wiens (Maria), Erna Siemens, Betty Anne Braun and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be held Thursday, April 14 at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery,1483 Lakeshore Rd, Niagara on the Lake, at 12:30 pm. Visitation is at Niagara United Mennonite Church, 1775 Niagara Stone Rd at 1:30 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to MCC or Radiant Care Pleasant Manor would be appreciated.
