Obituary of Karen Pageau

Karen Jean Delia Pageau   (June 5, 1981 – April 10, 2022)

It is with deep sadness that Linda, Paul, Clinton, Corey, Richard and the Crimson King Way Team share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of their dear friend and housemate, Karen Pageau on Sunday April 10, 2022 at 40 years of age. 

May each of us live as Karen did – with much excitement and anticipation of what the day ahead will bring!  Through her youthful and jovial spirit, she was always eager to greet others with a smile, share a kind word or two, openly declare her wants and needs and proudly announce her every move.   She had a deep love of her friendships, cherishing each unique relationship.   It was obvious to those who knew her that her prized possessions, her love of Disney, her fish “Blueberry” and cravings for pop and treats were always a part of her daily conversations. 

Since her arrival to Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln in 2004, Karen has been supported by compassionate and caring professionals who made it a priority to provide her with a safe environment, exciting opportunities for growth and friendships, and the chance to engage in new experiences in her community and in the world around her.

Karen will be greatly missed by her King Way family and friends, and by the many others who were privileged to know her over the past 18 years.

Visitation will take place on Monday, April 18th, 2022 from 11:00 - 12:00pm at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St., Vineland)  Funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 12:00pm followed by interment at Grimsby Mountain Cemetery (59 Elm Tree Rd E, Grimsby, ON L3M 4E7)
