Obituary of Joyce May Opperman
Joyce May Opperman, 90, of St.Catharines (Lincoln) ON, passed away at home on September 19th, 2016, surrounded by her family.
A Memorial Service will be held at Westburne Alliance Church, 237 Rykert Street on Friday, September 23rd at 1:30 pm.
Joyce was born in Toronto, ON to William and Annie May Broderick on October 11, 1925. She accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior at the age of 13. She married Kenn W. Opperman in 1947 and faithfully served alongside her husband as a licensed missionary and pastor’s wife with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for over 40 years.
Joyce was a loving mother to her four children: Melodie (Dan), Kary (Paul), Bob (Terry) and Bill (Donna). She will be remembered by her 11 grandchildren, Hollie (Jon) & Jonathan (Danielle); Charlotte (Eric), Adam & Molly; Stephen (Beks), Tim & Dave (Ashley); Megan (Colin), Kelsey, and her grandbaby in heaven Courtney; along with her 5 Great Grandbabies: Mason, Liam, Jonas, Elliott, and Ellie and a soon to be born great grandbaby boy.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband (Kenn Opperman) on November 19, 2009.
