Obituary of Carl Elmer Jones

Jones, Carl Elmer born on October 10th, 1944 in Newmarket, Ontario, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 21st. 2022, surrounded by his adoring family by his side at his home in Vineland, Ontario.  Carl in his 77th year, was a cherished husband of Susan Jones and dear father of Kevin "Nipper" Jones (Amanda) of Ohio, and Angie "Mouse" Swaerdens (Mike) of Grimsby. Loving grandpa of Tristin of Grimsby, and Kason and Ciara of Ohio. Beloved brother of Gwenda Jones and Barbara Fairey (Robert) of Oshawa, Elaine Jones-Webber (Les) of Victoria, BC, and Joyce Leclair (Denis) of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents Gladys Rose and Francis Arthur Jones of Ajax.

Carl will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor and how much he adored his wife of 53 years Sue, who he lovingly referred to as his Pooh-Bear. Carl was an avid reader of crime and mystery novels, he loved the outdoors and fishing and boating up at Pigeon Lake where they once had a trailer, and he shared his passion for golf and the Montreal Canadiens with his son Nip. He also loved old country music and the Rolling Stones which is how his daughter Angie got her name. To say that Carl will be missed would be an understatement, for although he was a man of few words his personality and love for his family would fill any room.
