Obituary of Trijntje Struiksma

Trijntje (Tinie) Struiksma (nee Gort)  

April 5, 1938 - June 8, 2022 

On June 8, 2022, our Heavenly Father took home our beloved wife, mother, oma and great oma in her 85^th year.  She is now safe in the arms of her saviour Jesus Christ. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years Ron, her children Tim (Darlene), Karen (Ivan) and Simone, her grandchildren Jessica (John), Mason, Jerid, Rachel (Ryan) and Chris, her great-grandchildren Tessa, Sebastian, Molly and Hailey, and her extended family and friends.

Tinie was a kind, caring and generous person and made new friends wherever she went. In her own quiet way, she touched the lives of all those who were privileged to know her. She will be sadly missed. 

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 

As a family, we want to thank all the doctors, nurses and PSWs who were so kind and caring to Tinie during her illness these past two years. A special thank you to all the staff at the United Mennonite Home who cared for her during her stay there.  

Following a private interment, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at Trinity United Reformed Church, 99 Scott Street, St. Catharines.
