Obituary of Anne Bruggeling
Bruggeling, Ann (nee deRooij) - Passed away on June 9, 2022, at the age of 87. Ann will be greatly missed for her sense of humour and compassion, and concern for others. Preceded in death by her husband, John, Ann was a loving mother to Leah (John), Gilbert (Sheryl), and Tricia and beloved Oma to Ben (Veronica), Sarah (Latimer), Katelyn (Sam), Jonathan (Janine), Chelsea, Keaton, Kurt (Tess), and Rachel (Ben) and great-grandchildren Ethan, Caleigh and Leonie and was excitedly awaiting the arrival of a new grandchild.
Ann will be missed by her siblings Gilbert and Astrid, Jo, Coby, Riet and Gerrit, Greit, Nies and Bas and Hugo and lovingly remembered by her special friend and honourary son, Willie Lusanga Kisongo.
She is predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Pietje, siblings Elaine and Peter, Jaap and Greet, Anneke, Geert, Peta, and Anton.
Ann spent many hours volunteering with Canadian Cancer Society, Orchardview Apartments, and caring for others in our community.
Special thanks to the team at Orchardview for caring for our Mom and Oma with compassion and dedication for the last five years.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, June 13 from 6-8 pm at Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King Street, Vineland. A memorial service will be held at First Reformed Church, 1136 Vansickle Road North, St. Catharines on Tuesday, June 14 at 2:30 PM. Private family burial will take place at Vineland Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Vineland United Mennonite Home are appreciated.
