Cornelia Johanna Seeley (nee Scholtes): April 18, 1936 to June 26, 2022
Surrounded by her three daughters, Corry passed away peacefully in her 87th year at The Jacob Senior Living Retirement Home in Beamsville.
Corry was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Seeley, her parents, Theodore and Petronella Scholtes, brother Hank and sister Nelly. Survived by her siblings Piet, Anne, Emmy (Wayne), Ted, Ben (Beth), Mary (Murray) and many nieces and nephews.
Corry will be dearly missed by her three daughters, Karen Waring, Diane Mullane and Donna Clow, her son-in-law Michael Mullane and her seven grandchildren: Sara and James Waring; Shalen and Keely Mullane; Kayla, Jordan and Jacob Clow.
Corry will be remembered as a strong, feisty, resilient woman, with a heart of gold. Her Dutch heritage was very important to her, having immigrated from the Netherlands in 1952. Corry retired from Port Colborne General Hospital in 1994 after a long career as an RN, head nurse and hospital administrator. In this last year, she experienced great joy and made many special friendships with residents at The Jacob, who became her extended family.
A special thank you to Dr. Kavanaugh, the staff at The Jacob Senior Living Retirement Home and the palliative care team under Dr. Marshall for their compassionate and respectful care.
A funeral service will be held at Tallman Funeral Home in Vineland on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.
