Obituary of Femmie Zwaagstra

Zwaagstra Femmie (Terpstra) - It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great grandmother at WLMH in Grimsby on Wednesday June 29,2022 in her 89th year. Femmie was born in Drieber Netherlands in 1934 and immigrated to Canada in 1955, with her loving husband Pieter, and with 1 child on the way, and another in tow. This young couple braved the unknown, trusting in their Lord. Femmie was no stranger to work, with bus driving, cleaning homes, and dedicated her life to her family and volunteering at, school, church, and her last years at the Smithville thrift store. She will always be remembered for her generous spirit by her children, Hilma Sawyer, John, Frank (Fran) Diane (Case) Vanderkruk, Peter (Angie), by her 18 grandchildren and her 42 great grandchildren. She leaves behind her sisters Jellie VanRhee, Tia Feenstra and Jikkie Terpstra in the Netherlands. Femmie is now reunited with her husband Pieter in heaven who passed away in 2007.

Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Tallman Funeral Home in Vineland.
