Obituary of Caterina Presti

Presti, Caterina - It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Caterina Presti on July 20, 2022.

Caterina was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and nonna.  She will be sadly missed by her devoted husband of 60 years, Vincenzo and her children Rose (the late Doug), Joe (Carol), and Diana (Jeff).  Caterina loved spending time with her grandchildren, Brian (Kathleen), Kevin (Jess), Steven (Gaby), Tony, Katerina, Madeline and her great-grandson, Samuel.  

Caterina was born and raised in Aragona, Sicily with her late parents, Francesco and Giovanna Gaziano and her siblings Girolamo (Maria), the late Stella (late Raimondo), Salvatore (late Mima), Cologero (Concetta), Pina (late Salvatore), Anna (Matteo), and Angelo. 

She moved to Canada in 1962 after her marriage and was surrounded by her in-laws, the late Giuseppe and Rosa Presti and their children the late Luigi (Anna), the late Peter (late Ann), the late Carman (late Miriam), and Teresa (Nick).

Her passion was her family and cooking fabulous meals for all.  No one ever left her house hungry.  She was a kind and loving lady and will be missed by all who knew her.

 Thanks to Dr. Volz, the staff at the Beamsville Medical Centre and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Due to COVID concerns a private Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11am at St. Joseph's Church, Grimsby.  Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville.
