Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hendriks,
I just learned of Dennis' passing. I worked at the greenhouse through my teenage years and I think of those days and your family often. Dennis was often at the center of those thoughts. His contagious smile and laughter made a massive impression on me. I have so many fond memories of our interactions, that I often share these stories with my wife and kids.
I recall my first day at the greenhouse. Dennis really put me through the ringer, but once I survived my first shift we became good friends after that. We went to the Beamsville Fair for his favourite demolition derby, a Buffalo Sabres hockey game and many lunchtime excursions to Wendy's nearby.
I am devastated to hear this news, but I hope you are comforted by the impression Dennis made on so many people.
Sincerely,
Tim Walton

My deepest condolences to the Hendriks family. Hopefully, the memories with Dennis' big smiles will brighten the darkest days. I remember how hard working and proud he was at the baseball games that I watched with my cousins (many years ago). Great memories. Thinking of you all – many hugs. From Kim (and Laurette Roth)
