Obituary of Girolamo Di Lettera
Peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday October 29th, 2022, at age 90. Girolamo (Gerry) DiLettera entered eternal rest with our Lord.
Survived by his beloved wife Maria (Iannotta) of 62 years of marriage. Loving father of daughters Anna and her husband Ted Wallace, Rose and her husband Tim Lattanzi and son Angelo and his wife Sandra DiLettera (nee Frattini). Very proud Nonno to Bradley Lattanzi, Erica Lattanzi, Jeffrey Wallace, Nathan Wallace, Matthew Wallace, Nico DiLettera, and Marco DiLettera.
Dear brother to the late Antonia (late Nicola) Caruso, Valentina (Mario) Chirico, late Belinda (Francesco) Rea, Viola (Pietro) Izzo and Maria (late Giuseppe) Marrese.
He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, the United States, and in Italy.
Girolamo was born in Calvi Risorta, in the Province of Caserta, Italy and arrived in Canada as an Italian immigrant in 1959. As a humble man, he and his wife were dedicated to a better life in a new country. Through their persistence of hard work, they gained success. He and our mother grew real estate investments to be proud of and the legacy continues. He was kind and generous and loved it most when family and friends dropped by for a glass of homemade wine (..he claimed his was the best!) and a delicious meal. His true passion was to be surrounded by the people he loved either at his dinner table or just as he sat in his special chair.
He valued friendship and his greatest love was family, family, and more family!
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022 at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King Street, Vineland, ON L0R 2C0 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
