I want to share a special moment with „Tante Susa“. When we visited her in 2019, we had really deep talks about all of her life and what she’s been through. During that she became and still is a role model in how to stay thankful and be faithful in the Lord even though you can’t understand all of His ways.
One certain situation is in my mind since then: I love Tante Susas knitted blankets. So I asked if that’s possible to knit one and send it to Germany. She told me that she can’t see very well anymore so she wasn’t able to do so. On the las day before leaving she came over to say goodbye and her gift was her knitted blanket she had on her bed.
That’s the moment when I get emotional about her generosity and her great heart! The blanket is in my living room and my daily precious reminder of her.
I’ll miss her a lot,
Adriana Klassen (nee Flaming)
The picture was taken on that day before we left.
Our deepest condolences to all of the family of „Tante Susa“.
We really appreciated „Tante Susa“ as our dear aunt and sister of our mom or grandmother. During all the visits, Tante Susa had an awesome sense of humor, a generous heart and above all a living faith and the love to our Jesus Christ.
She’ll be greatly missed,

Susie became a special friend to me after my Tante Helga Neufeld passed away at Pleasant Manor - Helga and her were great friends. So many Saturdays when I needed a break from yard work, I would get my McDonalds coffee and venture over to her apartment, knock on her outside door and we would spend hours chatting. Her special handmade baby quilts and hats from her granddaughter Katrina have found there way to many homes here in Niagara that appreciate these Mennonite treasures. And what a treasure this special 96 year old wonderful lady was to me. I will miss her terribly, but always remember her every time I get that weekend McDonalds coffee.
