Obituary of Carl Alfred Friesen

FRIESEN, Carl Alfred

August 12, 1934 - April 20, 2023

Carl Alfred (Lou) Friesen, loving husband of Viola (Toots) for 63 years, went to his eternal home on April 20, 2023, aged 88 years.

Predeceased by his son Douglas (d. 2006), he is survived by  his sons Richard (Rose) of Kirkland, QUE, and Barry (Janice) of Abbotsford, BC. Lou was a cherished grandpa of Katelyn (Josh), Scott (Casey), Kevin (Erica), Cassie (Blayne), Adam, Holly (Joseph), and Jack. He was a special great grandpa to Hailey, Maya, Connor, Jessa, Benjamin, Brooklyn and Miles.

Lou spent many years teaching in elementary schools in St. Catharines, and was active in the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church and Ontario MB Conference summer camps.

The family will receive friends at Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St, Vineland) on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 10:30-11:30am. A memorial service will follow at 11:30am. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery will follow the service.
