Obituary of Betty Anne Braun

Betty Anne Braun (nee Locke) August 6, 1938 – May 31, 2023

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Betty Anne Braun on May 31, 2023 at Linhaven, St. Catharines. She was in her 85 th year, being born August 6, 1938 to Arthur and Margaret Locke in Lennoxville, Quebec. The Locke family moved to St. Catharines in 1942.

Betty Anne was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Margaret, her loving husband of 56 years Jacob Braun (2011), siblings, John, Mary, Gilbert, Patricia, Charlie, and Margaret. She is survived by her sons Dale (Donna) and Kevin (Susan), her brother Mike (Noreen) Locke ) five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Betty Anne was absolutely devoted to her family and also worked part time at the Hotel Dieu Hospital as the switchboard operator. for many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society- Niagara Chapter or to Fighting Blindness Canada. A Celebration of Betty Anne’s Life will be held at Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St, on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
