Obituary of David Wiebe

David Wiebe

David born August 27, 1930, passed peacefully on Thursday June 8, 2023; at Chippawa Creek/Bella Long Term Care Home. He was devoted to his wife of 49 years Sharon Ann Wiebe, who suffers from MS, caring for her unselfishly for many years. He is also survived by his siblings Mary, Agatha, and Peter (Joan).

He was predeceased by his parents Abraham and Mary Wiebe and by siblings Lydia, Ella, Johanna, George (Norma) and in-laws Nola and Clarence Himes & Jimmy Stirrett. David liked to visit, share fun times and good stories with his many nieces and nephews who will miss his company & generous spirit.

Retired from General Motors, his early years were spent in the military.

A love of gardening and outside work, he and Sharon enjoyed many trips abroad and years traveling to Florida meeting many snowbird friends.

Thank you to the team at Chippawa Creek/Bella for their respectful and compassionate care. He easily made friends with the other residents and charmed the staff with his kind manner.

His daily visits and loving care of Sharon will be sadly missed. A special thank you to nephews David and Brian Wiebe & niece Debbie Dorey who took good care of him.

Organized through Tallman's Funeral Home; cremation has taken place, a private family interment will follow.
