Obituary of Henry Rahn

Rahn, Henry (Heinz) – It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Henry on July 25th, 2023.  A beloved husband to Helga, father of Marianne (Andrew) McNabb, Nancy Rahn, Henry James (Courtney) Rahn and Sandy (Richard) Munhall. Opa of James (predeceased) and Jacob McNabb, Emily, Samantha, Rachel and Zachary Rahn. Stepfather of Ed (Helen) Froese, Rick (Erika) and Debbie (John) Peters and their families. Survived by his sister, Anne Rahn. Predeceased by his parents, Jakob and Justina Rahn, brother Jake and wife Nettie, grandson James and the mother of his children, Helen Rahn.

Henry had a long successful career as owner of Stradwicks Flooring and Carpets. Was an avid fisherman and hunter (only for the 4th man for Euchre). He was a true fisherman, his tales got taller and taller. He loved to travel with Helga, Dominican Republic and Cuba were visited for many years.

His sense of humor and beautiful smile will be missed.

The family will receive friends at the Niagara United Mennonite Church, 1775 Niagara Stone Rd., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Monday July 31, 2023 from 10 – 11am with the Funeral service starting at 11am. Interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. A light lunch will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Peterborough would be greatly appreciated.
