It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend Jack Hildreth on Tuesday July 25, 2023 at the age of 83. He leaves behind his three children- Kevin Hildreth, Kelly (Tim) Berg, and Ken (Marie) Hildreth. He was the extremely proud and loving Grandpa of Jaxson, Owen, and Gavin who will miss him dearly. He also leaves behind his brother Jim (Mary) Hildreth; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend Grace (Ponsford) (2022) and brother Martin (2009).

Dad was born in Grimsby Beach, Ontario to Marjorie and Murray Hildreth on May 27, 1940. He grew up on a fruit farm and later went on to farm with mom. Dad worked extremely hard, often taking winter jobs to supplement the farming income. He was a charming and kind man with a sense of humour that never seemed to disappear. He loved to fish and play cards, was very handy, and most of all loved his wife and family very much.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all of the staff at Pioneer Elder Care. In keeping with Dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Tallman Funeral Home, Vineland (3277 King Street, Vineland) on Thursday August 3, 2023 at 11:00 am. Luncheon will be held in the Fireside Room at Tallman’s immediately after the service; followed by the interment at Lane’s Cemetery (4528 Twenty Mile Rd., St Ann’s). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dad's memory to The Dementia Society or the Lincoln County Humane Society.
