Katharine Alberta Jane Underhill (nee Cole)

December 27, 1935 - August 1, 2023



Beloved wife of the late Albert (2015), cherished mom to Douglas (Susan), Lynne (Lynn), Diane (Kevin) and Lisa (Freddie). Grandma to Brit (Adam), Alix (Brendan), David (Jelian), Johnathan (Maleigha), Katie, Andrew, and Thomas. Great Grandma to Harper and Quinn. Much loved Aunt to Robynne, Randy (1996), Russell (Nancy) and Norman (Cathy). 
 

Predeceased by brothers Hugh (2015) and Douglas (1952) and sister Barbara Geddes (2020). 
 

Katharine was a Registered Nurse and worked and taught at Toronto General before moving back to Grimsby with Albert where they raised their children. She co-managed the family business, Cole’s Florist, for years. 

Kay loved curling, golfing, or playing bridge, and travelling with Albert, especially winters in Arizona and summers at Bobs Lake. She loved entertaining, gathering with friends, and cooking for a family crowd. She was famous for her butter tarts and pies. You could not attend any kid’s hockey, baseball, horseshow, dance, or skating recital event, without seeing her in the stands.
