Obituary of Dorothy Helen Brewer

Dorothy Helen Brewer (Daines), of St. Anns Ontario passed away peacefully with her family at her side on August 6, 2023 in her 89^th year.

Dorothy was born in Ingersoll, Ontario in 1933.  She married the love of her life Murray Brewer in 1952. They started their family in Dorchester, Ontario, and eventually moved to Beamsville in 1967.  There, Dorothy was very involved and an advocate for women’s sports, such as Baseball, Hockey, and Figure Skating.

They later retired their commercial heating business and relocated to St Anns, Ontario.  Dorothy loved birdwatching, gardening, spending time up north, quilting, knitting, sewing, and painting.

After Murray’s passing, she volunteered at the West Lincoln History Society and at the West Lincoln Community Care Food Bank.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Gail Mista (Butch d.), Kathy LaPointe (Ron d.), Jacki Comfort, John Brewer (Leah), Mary Brewer (Gary Radko).  She was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Murray (2006) and son in laws, Butch Mista (2022) and Ron Lapointe (2023).

Funeral Service will be held at Tallman Funeral Homes in Vineland (3277 King St, Vineland). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9^th at 2-4 PM and 6-8 pm, Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 10^th at 11am, Burial will follow at Lanes Cemetery in St Anns.
