Obituary of Dorothea Lavigne

Lavigne, Dorothea (Doris) - Born June 21st, 1928, Doris passed away on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016, suddenly but peacefully at her home in Beamsville. Wife of the late Lucien (Loui, 2005). Dear sister of Charlotte Williamson (Tom, 1987) Beamsville, Gerdie (Carl) Blum, Germany and Erika Gillentine, Florida. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Dear Tante to Manuela Welch and Uwe Mertens and families who will always fondly remember her for her special love and devotion for over 60 years. Doris worked at Albright Manor as a dietary aide for 23 years before her retirement. For those who had the privilege to know Doris they will remember her sweet disposition, her sharing and happy nature and her tiny busy figure working in her garden. Since a child Doris had a special love for animals and took great joy in bringing home stray animals to care for. Doris's strength, resilience and courage was admirable. She had devoted friends because she was a devoted friend. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
