Betty June McPhee (1945-2023)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Betty June McPhee, age 78, of Toronto, Ontario on August 30, 2023. Betty died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her husband Howard, children Joel, Jennifer (Merle), Amy (Chris) and grandchildren Jaimie and Kai. 

Betty was committed to Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and was active in her church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty was passionate about breaking down barriers faced by the deaf community and taught deaf students at Northern Secondary School for many years.  She served on the board of the Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation of Canada and was dedicated to supporting Waldenstrom’s patients. 

The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 4^th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Toronto Church, 383 Jarvis Street, Toronto. The family will receive visitors at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation of Canada (www.wmfc.ca).
