Obituary of Martha Derksen

Derksen, Martha - At St.Catharines General Hospital on Friday, November 18, 2016, Martha Derksen, aged 90 years, entered the Presence of her Lord. Dear sister of Tina (d.Oct.31/16), Peter (d.2006) & Tina, Art (d.2011) & Mardy, Jenny & Dave Penner, John & Marlene. Martha spent her career influencing children as an elementary school teacher. In her later years, Martha served her community as a faithful volunteer in various areas. She will be greatly missed as a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews and as a cherished friend to those who knew her. The family will receive friends at Grantham Mennonite Brethren Church, 469 Grantham Ave., on Monday, November 21, 10:00-11:00am followed by the funeral service at 11:00am. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to MB Missions or Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated.
