Our deepest condolences to Brenda’s family. I first met Brenda when our families met up by coincidence in a Florida campground in 1978. We were so enthralled by the silver steam camper - but I also remember what a nice fun mom my new friends had.
Fast forward to 2020 when we first toured OVA and saw Brenda’s name on one of the apartment doors. Our mom perked right up-“that’s my old friend!” We had a quick visit that day and knew then that mom would be ok with this big move with such a wonderful friend to greet her. Over the next 2.5 years their friendship grew again- and we as daughters were so thankful for the bright light that Brenda was in our moms life. They had lunch together every day which often then turned to a long visit in Brenda’s room.
When our mom passed back in February, my sister and I went first to Brenda’s room to let her know personally. She was so sweet and compassionate to us.
While we deeply mourn the loss of our mothers, I’m so glad to know these dear friends who both knew and loved Jesus are now dining together again in heaven with their beloved Saviour.

We are so sorry to hear of Brenda’s passing. My Mum (Jean Romagnoli) has asked that we tell Brenda’s family how much she will miss Brenda. She was a true friend to our mother when she moved in to Orchardview Apartments and blessed our mother with laughter and friendship. Praying you are comforted with many warm memories. Helen Kotrus and Jean Romagnoli

We are so sorry for your loss. Your mom always had room for more family and friends (and family of friends). We were so thankful to be included in her big circle: she made us feel welcome no matter the circumstances. She was the happy, smiling driver behind several adventures with our Mom! We will remember her fondly. The van Hilten girls: Heltje, Adri, Jackie and Joan.
