Edward Enns

April 26, 1933 – October 12, 2023

Edward peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Saviour at Welland Hospital on October 12, 2023, at the age of 90.  Loving husband to Irene (Schellenberg) for what would have been 69 years on October 16^th.  Beloved father to Kelly (T.J.) Janzen and Gary (Gwenda).  Grampa Eddie to Meredith (Justin) Kralt, Taylor (Lucas) Becker, Robyn, Mackenzie, Carter, Keifer, Travis and Trent.  Proud Great Grampa to Mason, Jordyn, and Brielle.  Brother to Henry (Rita) and Mary (Harry).  Brother-in-law to siblings’ surviving spouses Betty, Erv, and Dan.  Predeceased by siblings Margaret (Alec), Peter (Helen), Helen (Harry), Abe, John (Hedy), Dorothy and March.

Ed was a retired real estate agent in Niagara after 40 years of service and was passionate about serving his clients well.  It was never solely about making the sale.  If clients needed help moving, he would lend a hand.  If minor repairs were required, Ed was there with his tools.  As such, many clients became his friends.  Even to his final days in the hospital he continued to offer his services if he could only find his tools.  Ed never lost his knack for sharing his skills or possessions.

Ed’s compassion toward others also saved numerous lives with his decades of blood donations for which he received several milestone commendations.

While a quiet and reserved man, underneath Ed always enjoyed a good prank.  His philosophy was “if it seemed impossible” or “not a good idea”, then he was on board.  There were times unauthorized For Sale signs mysteriously appeared on friends’ and fellow agents’ front lawns.  Ed’s partners in crime shall remain nameless.  Ed also had a dry sense of humour, but you had to be quick to catch it.

Ed will be fondly missed…

The family will receive family and friends at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman’s Funeral Home 3277 King Street, Vineland on Tuesday, October 17^th from 6 - 8 pm.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 18^th at 11 am in Tallman’s Vineland Chapel (3277 King St, Vineland) following a private interment at Lakeshore Cemetery, Niagara-on-the-Lake.
