Obituary of Maria Nieuwenhuyse

NIEUWENHUYSE, Maria "Mary" Cornelia Geense - At Hospice Niagara on Tuesday July9, 2013, Mary Nieuwenhuyse, aged 88 years. She was predeceased by her first husband Tony Geense, second husband William Nieuwenhuyse, son Keith, step-daughter Ina, brothers Arnoud, Jacobus, Louis, and sisters Rina Rottier and Lena de Bruyne. Mary is survived by her daughter Marj (Herman) Vander Schaaf of Cobourg, ON; daughter-in-law Beth Geense of Puyallup, Washington, sons Louis (Naomi) Geense of Stouffville, ON, Tony (Gloria) Geense of Paisley, ON; step-daughters Jannie (Kees) Matthysee of The Netherlands, Gilda (William) Gambacurta of Camlachie, ON, Julianna (Don) Sigvaaldason of St. Albert, AB; and step-in-son-in-law John Everdsyk of The Netherlands; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews as well as sister-in-law Diane VanDoezelaar. Mary will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St., on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A private family interment will take place prior to the memorial service which will be held at the First Reformed Church, 1136 Vansickle Rd. N., St. Catharines, on Friday July 12, 2013 at 11am. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Niagara or Evangelical Missionary Church Canada Relief & Development.
