Obituary of Murray Dennis Unruh

It's with broken hearts and profound Christian faith that we announce the passing of Murray Unruh on November 14, 2023. Murray was the cherished husband and best friend of Diane for 53 years. 

Murray was a self-taught landscape artist whose paintings reflected his love for the outdoors. An avid fisherman and hiker, he found joy and peace in nature. Murray's warm personality made him a friend to many, and he was beloved in his community. Known for his love of music, he often whistled his favourite tunes. He was an amazing chef, often impressing friends and family with his culinary skills. 

His favourite scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6 guided Murray's life, and he lived by its wisdom. We say goodbye to a man with many gifts who will be deeply missed.

Son of Ed & Tina Unruh (predeceased). Brother to Ron & Christine, family. Neale & Kathy, family. Dad and Papa to Beth & Eric Woelk, Selah, Karis. Matt & Cristina, Aaralyn, Ellarie, Silas, Mia. Drew & Emily, Genevieve.

The celebration of life will take place at Cornerstone Community Church, 434 Hunter Road, Niagara On The Lake, on Saturday, November 18th, at 10:30 am.
