Matt,
I am so saddened to hear of your passing. Getting to know you this summer through the kids’ baseball was great; we saw the game the same way and my family’s first baseball season as Port Colborne residence was one to be remembered cause of you and your family - You will be missed.
I am consoled knowing that both Aiden and Owen will have an angel in the outfield and on the ice every time they suit up for a game or practice.
Aiden and Mya will be starting grade 9 together next fall and I promise to unapologetically heckle Owen every chance I get … sorry not sorry.
My guy, you will be deeply missed - Rest in Peace.
God bless,
Mike, Mari, Mateo, Melia and Mya

This does not sum up all of who Matthew was. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, dad, and friend. He loved his boys more then anything in this world. Unfortunately without the right support when he went through the loss of his brother he was too stubborn and wore down to listen to those who loved him the most. He had a heart of gold. He loved coaching kids in basball and seeing them improve. He loved playing golf with his friends. He lived an amazing life providing the best for his family. He was always the friend that was there to support you no matter what you were going through. If there was anything he could do, he would do it no questions asked. He always said there is no absolutes but this sure feels like one. He will be terribly missed and we are completey heart broken. When we see each other again M

Matthew was a wonderful kid who grew up to be good man. A man who was always ready to lend a hand. He helped my father out so much over the years and was always there for the people who needed him. It is with great sadness to hear of his passing. I only have fond memories of Matthew. I must say…I have a lot of fun memories of babysit Matthew in his younger years, he was a real joy! My deepest condolences to his Father, Uncle John, to Donna, Shauna and Matthew’s two wonderful young boys. Love, Cindy xo
