Obituary of John Fracchioni
John Fracchioni
1967 - 2023
FRACCHIONI, John – Taken from us way too soon, on December 1, 2023.
There is a saying, that some people are ‘all hat and no cattle’. John Fracchioni was all hat and all cattle. He was a man who would promise you the world and do his damndest to deliver it. Profoundly generous in spirit and effort, he would remember your favorites, spoil you with unexpected treats, and sweep away your stress with his straight-talking common sense – followed by a serenade of top 80s hits and guitar riffs.
He was the kind of guy that would give not only his friends – but any friend of his friends – a place to stay, the keys to his truck, and a fresh outlook on life. He wouldn’t just offer to help you move, he would show up with a truck, a trailer, a crew, coffee, and pizza.
John was a father first – a devoted Papa to his two beloved boys, Christofer Fracchioni and Nicolaus Fracchioni. They have made him proud every day and his legacy will live on in their huge hearts, strength of character, and kindness of spirit.
John was also a devoted son to his mother, Letizia Fracchioni, and his father Ernesto Fracchioni, who passed away in 2015. His much-loved siblings include his sister Milena and her husband Mike; his sister Roberta and her husband Darren; and his little brother / best friend, Roberto, and his wife Janine. We will always be grateful for the immense love and care he bestowed on his nephews and nieces – Anna, Sofia, Ryan, and Oliviero – who will forever cherish his huge bear hugs, booming voice, and constant reminders that there is nobody better.
In recent years, John found great joy with Rebecca Murphy, the woman who inspired him to get a passport. They “loved and were loved”, with a beautiful future ahead - traveling together, enjoying life together, and caring for their families together. He absolutely adored Becky and we are all grateful for the unconditional love she brought to John’s life.
Beyond his cuddly side, John was a fierce opponent at scopa, poker, and business. With his quick wit, he loved instigating a loud political argument just to rouse the spirits. As a valuable member at FBH Group, John was a masterful negotiator, building solid partnerships and navigating projects through complexity and turmoil to achieve success for himself and his team.
John lived with gusto and with grace. We are all so proud of his achievements, his contributions to the community of Beamsville, and to the enormous love that he left behind. He was very much the heart of the family and we will miss him every day.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to McNally House Hospice in Grimsby, a place that meant so much to John during the last days of his father’s life.
