Laura Frances Robertson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laura Frances Robertson on November 24, 2023, at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. She was born on February 9, 1980 in Ottawa, Ontario. Laura was a long-time resident at the Rose Avenue group home of Grimsby Lincoln West Lincoln Community Living. Diagnosed at birth with Cornelia de Lange syndrome, Laura died of pneumonia as a complication from surgery; she was 43 years old. Laura lived her best possible life despite many challenges, thanks primarily to the compassionate and supportive care she received at Rose Avenue.  Her family is especially grateful to those who were with her at the end of her life, Teresa, Lisa, Maddy, Tracy, Olutomi, Chantel and Rob.  Laura is survived and greatly missed by her father, Michael; stepmother, Judy; brother Lachlan and sister Aidan; and all her family at Rose Ave.  It is the family’s wish that any tributes be directed in the form of a donation to Grimsby Lincoln West Lincoln Community Living.
