Obituary of Christopher Eric Gilbert

Gilbert, Christopher - It is with saddened hearts our family announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Chris Gilbert, December 16, 2023.

Born to Geraldine and Eric Gilbert on December 19, 1974, cherished brother to Jenna, beloved father to Colten, age 10 and Declan age 6. Chris lived a life enriched by the bonds of family, friendships and the simple joys of life.

Chris attended Denis Morris High School in St. Catharines and graduated from the Cambrian Business College in Sudbury before joining his family's business. As operations manager at Ericway Tire, Chris’s incredible commitment and skills were invaluable, leaving a significant mark on the community he served. His family witnessed with pride the dedication that Chris poured into their family endeavour.

Chris was not just a dedicated worker. He was a devoted father who cherished the time spent with his sons, together they forged memories sitting around campfires, flying drones, boating, or just simply cuddling on a couch watching a movie.

We invite family and friends to join us in our celebration of Chris’s life at the Casablanca Hotel, Grimsby on January 9 from 2-4 PM.
