My father, James Thrower, was the older half brother to uncle Tom. Though we only got to see uncle Tom and family a few times a year, he brought out the best in my dad and dad always had a soft spot for his "kid brother". Every occasion together guaranteed many laughs and enjoyment. I was privileged to have seen uncle Tom about 2 months ago at his home and as a bonus got to see both cousins and Stephen (Ron & Shari's son) as well. I know things were difficult for him at that point, nonetheless, his face lit up in having the visit, and I'm so glad I made a point of going. His quiet warmth and quick wit will be missed!
