When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel you know." - Unknown
My condolences to her family. I remember her and her sons from Redeemer Bible Church and Friends of the Family. I have never stopped thinking of your family and how you are doing. Your mother was always an inspiration to me, and I valued her outlook on life. I soaked in every word she had to say (even though I was a child at the time). To this day I still hear your mom talking. May she find comfort and rest with the Lord.

Sending my condolences to Illean's family and friends. I had the honor of working with Ilean at Gainsborough School. She was a great teacher and wonderful person. I remember her wanting and giving the best to her students. She truly cared. She loved to chat and always a positive role model to students and staff. Sending condolences to the family. I was blessed to have Mrs Wood as my teacher for grades 7 and 8 at Gainsborough School. To this day I can only appreciate everything she taught me and how she lovingly kept "order" in the classroom! Something many classrooms need these days!
She will be greatly missed.
Thank you Ilean for your hard work, love and dedication to us "students". Thank you for all the hours after school you sacrificed for the girls volleyball team! Hope we made you proud!

Ilean Wood was a teacher of my children, Shawn and Michelle Cavers, and a friend of mine through involvement at Gainsborough and with my also working for the same school board. She is remembered by me as a caring and consistently gentle yet strong woman, with a devoted love for her boys. She was always so very proud of her kids!
My sadness is shared with you, her family, at this time of loss of her in your life until you reunite again one day in a better, pain-free place.

Dear Bradley and Glen; We were saddened by the news of the passing of you mom, but rejoice in the assurance of her eternal home. Jane and your mom were teachers together at Marchmont school for a few year beginning in 1965. Ilean was a true friend and will always cherish that friendship. We were friends with both your mom and dad and well remember that tragic day that your dad left us. Jane and your mom stayed in touch some over the years, but not enough as of late.We hope to see you in Orillia on Tuesday and will keep your entire family in our prayers. God bless! "He will keep the joy bells ringing in your heart."

Dear Brad and Glen, Our hearts are heavy and so saddened at the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful friend to so many, always kind-hearted, generous and sincere. Your mom was my Grade 8 teacher up north near Orillia and then years later I had the privilege of teaching with her at Gainsboro. Her dedication and interest in her students was outstanding. Glen, the tribute to your mom was beautiful; your words were so touching. Your time here with Alexander will be such treasured memories for you. All our sympathies and prayers are with you both and your families. May God continue to give you His comfort, peace and love. Bob and Sharon Tebbutt

Ilean was the moving force behind Gainsborough's 50th anniversary last year! She brought so many "relics" she had saved from her years at our school. She often spoke, with great pride, of her kids and grandkids! She will be missed!
