Obituary of Edward Asahel Davis

With heavy hearts, surrounded by the love of his family, we mourn the passing of our Dad, Edward Davis, age 86, on January 18, 2024.  

Dad is survived by his children Dale, Gail and Pat Komadoski, Brenda and Chris Hodgins and Susan.  He was so proud of each of his grandchildren, Ben, Emily, Ashley, Zach, Taylor, Spencer, Josh and Sydney.  He is predeceased by the love of his life, Marilyn (Powers). Missed by his sister in law, Cheryl Davis.

Dad was born in Silverdale, Ontario and raised in Wellandport.  Mom and Dad raised their family in Beamsville. He retired from Stelco after 36 years, was a lifelong farmer and a retired Beamsville volunteer firefighter.  

Dad was an exemplary family Man.  He spent his retirement years vegetable and flower gardening, tree cutting and garden maintenance with Rudy.  A true nature lover and was always attending to his birds.  You could always find him in an arena, school gym, baseball or soccer field cheering on his grandchildren.  He was our family handyman and if Dad couldn’t fix it or find a solution it wasn’t possible.  Dad would always be there to lend a hand to whoever needed it.

A private burial will be held with his immediate family. Please join us to Celebrate his Life at Tallman Funeral Home, 3277 King Street, Vineland on January 27^th, from 2-4 at the Fireside Room.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society.  Our family wishes to extend our gratitude to the third floor staff at Albright Manor.
