To Esther, and the whole family. Your mom was one of a kind. I have many fond memories of you David and the whole family. May she rest well in the presence of her Lord.

Mom,

You did well. Yours is a life well lived. We are all very proud of you. And I was very blessed indeed to have a wonderful, beautiful and godly woman like you for a mother. Thank you for all your sacrifices. Rest in peace, in the loving arms of Jesus Christ our Lord, Saviour and coming King.

In lieu of a funeral and memorial service for my dearly departed mother, Ann Eileen Venketeswaran, I have posted some poignant photos of her and her beloved family, including her as a Canadian nurse. This country has produced some of the best in the world of which my mother was one. She played the E flat horn in the Salvation Army of the Welland Corps, was a nurse at Bethesda Home in Camden, taught Junior Church at Calvary Gospel Church for a number of years and was an upstanding citizen in absolutely every respect. Her life was a rich tapestry of faith, hard work, perseverance and utmost devotion to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

And in the words inscribed on my father’s memorial over in Ahakista, Ireland, I will end with these words that she loved so well…..

“Time flies, suns rise and shadows fall, let it pass by, love reigns forever over all.”

My mother was one of a kind. My best friend for many years and an amazing woman who loved me and loved Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. I take great comfort in knowing that I will see her again in eternity. And she is at peace and reunited with my father whom she missed every day since his untimely death in the Bombing of Air India Flight 182 on 23rd June 1985.
