Vriend, John Dr.

Our family is sad to share the news of the passing of our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend, John Vriend who died peacefully on Tuesday, February 27 at the age of seventy-five after a brief battle with cancer.

John is remembered through a lifetime of love by his wife and partner of nearly 52 years, Ada; his devoted children Kathy (Rick) and Chris (Karen) and by his grandchildren of whom he was so fiercely proud, Zachary (Kelly), Jessica (Max), Lauren and Sam.

John will be missed by his siblings: Norman (Arlene), Harry (Norma), Jerry (Catherine), Joanne (Tom), Olinda (Tim), Dorothy (Calvin) and by his extended family of Teeuwsen in-laws: Henk (Betty), Dick (Evelyn), Jenny, Dini (Hank), Frank (Tini), Bill (Audrey) and Gerry (Maaike).

A memorial to celebrate and express gratitude for John's full and joy filled life will be held at Convenant Christian Reformed Church of St. Catharines 278 Parnell Road, St. Catharines, Ontario  L2M 6P8  at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018
