Obituary of John Edward Course

Course, Rev. John Edward, Sr.

Died in his ninetieth year on Monday, May 21, 2018.  Beloved husband of Shirley and dear father of the Ven. Dr. John Course, Jr. (Beverly), and Cheryl (Frank).  Loving grandfather of Jessica, Joseph, Jamie, Julia and Christopher (Carling) and great-grandfather of Brennan. 

Rev. John Course had been the rector of Christ Church, West Flamborough, St. Brendan, Port Colborne, St. John, Jordan and St. Mark, Louth, St. John, Weston, and Priest-in-charge of St. John, Simcoe, respectively. 

He especially enjoyed going to his cottage on Huckleberry Island, Parry Sound, which he built with the help of his wife and children. 

A celebration of his life will be held at St. John Anglican Church, Jordan on Monday, May 28, 2018 at 1 pm.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara or to St. John Church.  Our family is grateful to the staff on the second floor of Albright Manor for the exceptional level of care they gave John over the past three years.

We look forward to seeing you again when we too shall be in the greater presence of God.
