Obituary of Jacob John Litke

LITKE, Jacob - Surrounded by family, Jacob Litke died peacefully at his home at the age of 91. Father of Richard (Doris), Walter (Marian), Elizabeth (Sandy), Susanne, Linda (Dennis), and Kathryn (John). Loved by his grandchildren Nathan (Natalia), David (Rebecca), Jason, Chris (Dawn), Bonnie, Adam, Julie (Chris), Jessica, Laura, Andrew (Breanne), Simon and Wavey. He was blessed with many great grandchildren Sophia, Amelia, Tristan, Jennica, Lia, Tate and Nikolas. Beloved brother-in-law to Sandy, Marlene, Sue, Eleanor and Elly. Jacob was a member of Grace Mennonite Church. The family would like to thank the Supportive Housing staff at Heidehof where he lived for the past 4 years. We will always be grateful for the kindness extended to him. Family will receive friends at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Home, 3277 King St. on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-8:30 pm. For those who wish to join the family, interment will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. on January 19, 2016. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 am at Grace Mennonite Church, 677 Niagara St., St. Catharines. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Canadian Cancer Society.
