On behalf of my family I would like to express our condolences to the family. This summer would be our 40 years anniversary Iiving in Canada. It would not be possible without the love, guidance and financial support from the United Mennonite church and especially the Bartel family. We are forever grateful!
May God bless Mr Arno Bartel and Mrs Ella Bartel. May them Rest In Peace.

The news of Arno's passing came unexpected to us.
He will be sadly missed as I considered him a friend and mentor.
Arno had great insight to the issues pertaining to the Home.
His leadership qualities contributed to the excellent reputation of the UMH.

May the Peace and Grace of our Lord Jesus comfort you at this sad time! Arno has always had a special place in my heart as he was my baptismal witness 40 years ago! His Christian example and guidance at that time was certainly a "light unto my path" in my teenage decision to confess my faith.
Through the years to follow Glenn and I always enjoyed a conversation with him when we ended up at several social events. He will truly be missed by his family and friends!
Sincerely,
Anita (Pauls) & Glenn Litke

Dear family,
Always a friendly hand shake and a warm smile when we met at church. I did not know him well, kindness showed in his greeting.
Please accept my deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts.

In Liebe
Michael Zahl mit seiner Ehefrau Britta und Sohn Henrik

Martha, Marlene & Dick, David and Ann Marie. Deepest condolences on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather and brother. In my years of playing for the German choir, I have special memories of him arriving early with a smile, equipped with joke up his sleeve. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Martha,
So sorry for your loss. How well I remember the two of you singing duets regularly, when our pastor Kevin Block spoke at the Orchard View Apartments. Now he has joined the heavenly choir. May God's Presence and comfort surround you.
In Christ's love, Hedy

Arno was the most Godly man we have ever known. He was kind, considerate, articulate and honorable. He was devoted to his family and friends and he was a cut above no one else.
When he passed and met our Heavenly Father he was greeted with celebration and I can imagine Jesus looking into his eyes and saying "well done my good and faithful servant".
We shall miss him greatly and will show him the same honor he showed all of us by taking care of his darling, Martha.
Rest in Peace our dear sweet friend.
Love, Ruth, Dietrich, Mark & Julia
