Obituary of Matthew John Magee

MAGEE, Matthew John, 72, of Niagara-on the Lake, ON, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019. Born in Dublin, Ireland, he was the son of the late Michael & Monica Magee. Matthew worked in the shipping industry for over 40 years, in England, South Africa, Germany and Canada.  He had a love for travelling. At a young age he left home and ventured out to explore many countries. He enjoyed reading and always had a book on his lap. Lately he was intrigued with quotes by Sir Winston Churchill. His favorite was "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give". He was a master at telling jokes which he always managed to not get quite right, but loved telling them none the less.

 Loving husband to Dinie Muste, loving brother to Michael (Mary), Oliver (Doris), Declan (Alice) and brothers-in-law Maarten Muste (Susan), Henry Muste (Marian), Danny Muste (Joanne) and loving uncle to Karen, Martin, Paul, Derek, Neville, Claire, Niall, Lynn, Gillian, Niamh, Maria, Kevin, Aoife, Heather, Jessica, Nicole, Derek, James, Andrea, Alex, Evan and loving great uncle to Chelsey, Georgia May, Jessie, Charlotte, Molly, Lucas, Liv, Jamie, Abby, Shane, Adam (Decd.), Alexa, Simone, Ellie, Oliver, Graham, Grace, Sarah, Laura, Rebecca, James, Sean, Matthew, Cadhla, Dylan, Thomas, Alannah, Caitlin, Jai, Louise, Amy, Sophie, Matthew and Andrew.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
