Karen, to you and the family , Donna and I wish to express our deepest sympathies on the passing of Bob. We certainly have experienced many great times with Bob, and learned many things about boating, and life in general. He always had a gentle way of expressing his opinions on topics of discussion. We'll miss that sage advice.
Once again our sympathies to you and the family.

Dear Karen & family, our heartfelt condolences to you all, we talk about Bob frequently at Beacon Bay and how much he just loved pottering away at something, his great ability to know each and every boater. “My Bonus” was such a lovely boat and was missed on the waters of Georgian Bay, may Bob Rest In Peace in new uncharted waters. Commiserations to Robert's surviving kin. I didn't know Robert personally but I note that he must have been a true Jantz as a descendant of Pastor Abraham J. Jantz of Friedensfeld, South Russia who was a Christian pacifist even toward other Mennonites. Pastor Jantz helped to keep the reforming Brethren in the Mennonite fold 160 years ago; two great-great uncles of mine were junior collaborators with Pastor Jantz in that effort. The son of one of my uncles, as an MB, became the first chairman of MCC a century ago; I note that MCC is listed as a preferred recipient of a memorial donation. Robert’s brothers Hugo and Harold, brother-in-law Art and cousin Helene have been similar MCC pacifists of my generation and were/are my friends. Again, commiserations. Henry Regier

When I first heard about Bob, I knew he had to be pretty special to have caught Karen's eye.
When I finally met him (shortly after the squirrel in the house incident), I could understand why: his integrity and always a sense of fair play, his love of life and people, his intelligence and his quick wit ... these will be the wonderful memories of one of THE great men in all our lives. I am thrilled that Bob was such an integral part of my sister's life for so many years and my niece's life as well! My heartfelt condolences on your loss .. and for Warren, Amy and the boys, the rest of Bob's family and the myriad of friends. I hope that the fun stories and the wonderful memories will surface again soon so his light continues to shine through all of you.

It was sad to hear that another great person has moved on and we won’t have the opportunity to see for sometime.
We will miss seeing you in Longuissa Bay but your spirit will be there. You were the best owner of Beacon Bay marina and really loved the people. Every time something is broken we think Bob would have just gone ahead and fixed it! We were lucky to have known you even for a short time! Deepest condolences to all of your family and friends. With great sadness I leave this message.

Dear Karen and family
As a former neighbour of Robert on Wall Rd, I was shocked to read of his sudden passing. I have many good memories of Robert and his brothers from our youth. Then it was so good to connect again in the last few years at car shows locally. I really enjoyed my conversations with him. My sincerest condolences to you Karen and to your family, especially in this time of mourning and coming to terms with life without Robert.

The news of Bob’s Passing is still very difficult to grasp. He was such a likeable man with such a big heart & smile. We were thrilled when we heard you were coming home a few days earlier from your holidays to make it to Bill’s 80th in April, because we knew how much having his best friend present would mean to him & it sure did!! Thankfully, we have some great photos of Bob & Bill, amongst others, that will be cherished. Big hugs to you Karen. We are thinking of you all at this very difficult time.
With love & sympathy,
