Obituary of Robert Peter Jantz

Jantz, Robert - With very heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Robert Peter Jantz, on July 10^th, 2019.  Robert was a wonderfully caring Husband of 21 years to Karen Jantz, loving Father to Warren Jantz (Amy), Opa to Nicholas and Alekzander Jantz, and Step-Father to Christy Holmes.  Robert was the youngest child born in Laird, Saskatchewan, to Henry Jantz and Helena (nee Penner); Brother of Linda, Abe, Hugo, Henry, Harold, and Marlene (Derksen), Uncle to many beloved nieces and nephews, and a very dear Friend to many. Robert was predeceased by his first wife Jean (nee Taylor), and enjoyed many years in Grimsby, as a resident and business owner, before retiring in Penetanguishene, St. Davids, Frostproof Florida, and on the water, aboard ‘My Bonus’.  Robert spent his final days in his 80th year, enjoying one of his many favourite pastimes, fishing with friends in Gods Lake, Manitoba. He will be passionately missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  

Cremation has taken place.  There will be a visitation at Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., Vineland on Thursday July 18 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel on Friday July 19 at 11am. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested donations in Robert’s name to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or MCCCanada.ca .
