Dear Schellenberg Family,
My memory of Ed goes back to the late 1970s early 80s when he gave leadership to the Silver Lake Mennonite Camp board. I was blessed to mind the camp during the fall of 1981 when the director was out of province on sabbatical. Being there all by myself, I greatly appreciated and felt the support Ed gave - believing in a young person to be able to handle it. That kind of encouragement is priceless. God's comfort and peace be with you. Sincerely, Don Penner

Our prayers and thoughts go out to Edwin’s family.
I met him many years ago when he became a volunteer driver for The Canadian Red Cross. He was always there to help others and such a gentleman who had a ready smile to share and brighten our day.

Dear Irene and family all
Erna and I too wish to express our sincerest condolences to you at this time of your loss . Ed was truly a great friend to so many . I remember meeting with him so often, when Creekside was built way back in the early 90's . he was administrator and I was a board member. What a great privelege that was . He now has fulfilled his work and accomplished that for which he was here on earth and has graduated to his heavenly mansion, ( Jeremiah 29:11). May GOD comfort , encourage and strengthen each of you as you / we all continue on our journey .

Ed was truly one of the good ones! We have lost a good friend and great person. I will truly miss his hilarious emails about my beloved Leafs! He was a very dedicated and hard working member at Bethany. Ella and I would like to convey our sincere condolences to Irene and the entire Schellenberg family. May God comfort you during this difficult time!
