Obituary of Edwin Henry Schellenberg

SCHELLENBERG, EDWIN HENRY passed away at home surrounded by the love of God and his family on November 6, 2019 in his 87^th year. Beloved husband of Irene for 58 years and dear brother to Justina. Loving father to Linda Van Bergen, David (Lisa), Joanne Friesen (Jim), and John (Barb). Devoted grandfather to Jamey, (Stacey), Julie, Darby, Dessa, Georgia, Katie (James), John, Robert (Beth), Ceydee, Sophia and his great-grandchildren Hayden, Victoria, Wesley and Jason. Edwin was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Justina Schellenberg and his three brothers Jacob, John and George.

Edwin lived his life loving people and being loved by many. He spent his life serving his God and his community. Edwin worked at many places throughout his career but he cherished the work he did as the administrator of Pleasant Manor as his most rewarding and biggest accomplishment.

A celebration of Edwin’s life will take place at Bethany Mennonite Church 572 East and West Line, Niagara-on-the-Lake on Monday November 11, 2019 at 1pm. Interment will be prior to the service at 11:30am. Visitation will take place at Bethany Mennonite Church on Sunday November 10^th from 2pm – 5pm. 

In memory of Edwin, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or Hospice Niagara.
