Dale and Debbie , sorry to hear about Jim's passing.
I have never met another person like Jim. He was the gadget daddy of King Steet West Beamsville. Jim could fix anything , build almost anything , an amazing handy man.
Many fond memories of great neighbours , Jim and the Hatch family growing up on King west Beamsville.

Jim Hatch was one of a kind really. He knew everything about everything and was never shy to let you know his opinion. He could take apart and fix anything it seemed and he volunteered so many hours with the Boy Scouts and to making the Beamsville Fair the success that it once was. Our parents Emil and Anne were such good friends with Jim and Meryl for so many years, either playing cards, board games, heading out to see friends, or looking ridiculous as Jim and Emil put on their lederhosen as they made their way to Oktoberfest. They don’t make people like Jim Hatch anymore and that is too bad. Our condolences to Debbie and Dale and family.

Debbie, Dale and families: I was very sad to learn of your dad's passing. I had some nice chats with him at Albright; I often saw him in the lounge chatting with friends or taking in the view by the 5th Floor elevators. Your dad always spoke so kindly to my own father. In earlier days I vaguely remember our class at Jacob Beam marching to your house on King St. and having a demonstration of your dad's unique trade in his workshop.

I went to visit my Great Uncle Jim in Beamsville in 2013. He is my Grannie's brother, and I haven't seen him for such a long time.
We finally reconnected, and I brought a old sewing basket full of my Grannie's old pictures and negatives that had not been developed.
Great Uncle Jim enjoyed viewing them, these brought back so many good memories.
His face lit up as he named off everyone in the pictures and negatives.
I knew I brought this old sewing kit full of memories, to the right person!
My deepest condolences to my entire family during this difficult time.xo
