Obituary of Donald Harold Clark
Clark, Donald - It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Donald Harold Clark, cherished husband to Nellie Kerek, loving father to Kristina Clark-Schouwenaar (Mark Schouwenaar) and Jaclyn Clark (Paul Di Ginosa), and proud papa to Brooklyn and Jesse Schouwenaar.
Donald was born May 28, 1952, and was adored by his siblings, Glenna Marczi (Steve Marczi) and Robert Clark (Sandy Debeaupre). He grew up in Beamsville, Ontario and attended the University of Guelph where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. Donald enjoyed sports, particularly basketball and baseball. His baseball team won several Provincial Championships, and he was later presented an award for having pitched a perfect game.
Donald’s quiet, but jovial nature made him a joy to be around. His playful and witty sense of humour always created a light-hearted atmosphere for all those who shared time with him. He was known to those closest to him as a bit of a joker; one who took joy in bringing out the playfulness in others.
He was also a reserved intellectual who took great pleasure in exploring the curiosities of science and nature, which was expressed through his photography. Donald was not a man of extravagance, but rather one who enjoyed life for what it was, revelling in all the simple joys and treasures it brought. He was loved deeply and will live on forever in the hearts and memories of those whose lives he touched.
If desired, memorial donations can be made to an animal shelter or humane society of your choice.
